WILLAURA Football Club has lost another member of its 1975 premiership team.
Premiership ruckman, James “Jim” Haslett passed away on September 6, aged 75 years.
Jim had called Willaura home for the past 47 years, entrenching himself in the community.
Born in Kilmore on November 13, 1945, to Alexander and Margaret Haslett, Jim was the third of five children.
He lived at Darraweit Guim for four years before the family moved to a farm at Romsey.
Jim walked to primary school each day, before receiving a blue bicycle, which he kept into adulthood. Taught by St Joseph’s nuns, his favourite subject was religion, and he enjoyed the responsibility of being an altar boy during mass.… More
